Lad’s Night Out
The title of the All Saint’s
men’s group ‘Lad’s Night Out’ suggests a group
of chaps ‘out on the town’ perhaps indulging in
a little too much alcohol! In reality, we are a
generally respectable collection of blokes, of
various interests and ages, who mostly enjoy a
pint or two and a chat.
The foremost purpose of LNO is to
build a men’s fellowship group based on
Christian values but whilst most of our regular
members come from All Saints or other churches,
some of our members are non-church go-ers.
Without being sexist, there is
evidence to suggest that successful churches
need men to be active in ministry, lay and
practical matters. Meeting regularly provides an
opportunity to talk about such things in a
relaxed setting.
As our part of West Ewell boasts
no pub of its own, LNO meets, on the third
Friday of each month, at the West Ewell Social
Club unless we are having a trip or a meal
elsewhere. When we started meeting here we only
had three full members but now we have over a
dozen so the need to sign-in guests has reduced.
LNO is not a drinking club - it
has an important role and function for the
health of our Church and our community so if you
feel like joining us, chaps, why not come along
at 8.30pm on the third Friday of each month.
