Welcome!
From Rev. Ian Whitham
On
behalf of All Saints Church, West Ewell, welcome to
our website.
All
Saints falls firmly within the Anglican Evangelical
tradition with a variety of modern styles of
worship. We are also very much a family church
and we make special provision for children and young
people. All Saints is also well known for the
very warm welcome we offer to visitors and our large
involvement in the community.
Our aim
is to Live, Love and Share Jesus in our every day
lives but especially in West Ewell and welcome you
and all who seek Jesus, or who simply want to come
and be refreshed, restored and renewed.
I hope,
in browsing, you're able to get a glimpse of the
loving, energetic community All Saints is.
If you
have any questions about All Saints, please come
along to worship on a Sunday morning or contact me
in whichever way you prefer.
You may
discover the spiritual home you are seeking.
With my
Blessings
Rev.
Ian Whitham
Coming to church for the first time?
If you're coming to church or All Saints for the
first time,
we hope that you will feel
welcome but walking into a church for the
first time can be daunting.
Here are some handy hints:
There will probably be other newcomers
in church, we are used to meeting new people.
You should be met at the door by one of
our Welcome Team. We will give you everything you will need
for the service. If you have any questions, the people
giving out the books are there to help.
Feel free to sit wherever you like.
There
aren't any reserved seats in the main part of the church. We usually stand to sing, and sit or
kneel to pray. It really is more about how you feel
comfortable; there is no "right or wrong" way.
The service will probably involve
"Communion"; receiving the bread and wine. We go up to the
altar rail, kneel and hold out our hands to receive, just
watch someone. If you are a member of the Christian Church
then you are welcome to receive communion, but if that is
not right for you then please still come up to the rail and
kneel, but bring an order of service with you and we will
know to just give you a blessing.
The 10 o'clock service lasts until
about 11.15am. There is tea, coffee or squash afterwards.
It’s very good to laugh at the jokes in the sermon!
