A Welcome from our Vicar, Rev Sue Cooke
My name’s Sue and I am the Vicar of All Saints. I arrived in July 2016 and I am so excited by all the ways in which God has been blessing us as a church community.
All Saints is a really friendly and happy church community. If you are thinking about coming along I know you will be warmly welcomed and we would be delighted to see you. Most Sundays we meet at 10am for an informal service of worship with communion. Every week there are either separate activities for the younger children in the Hall or we have a table with activities on in the main church space. We love children and we do not worry if they move about or make a noise during the service. Most months on the third Sunday we have an even more informal cafe style service with craft activities and great refreshments. Please do check the calendar page to check what is happening each week.
Prior to entering ministry I worked in education for 12 years and my final role was as Deputy Head of Wallington County Grammar School. After training at Ridley Hall I was ordained by Oxford Diocese in 2012 and served my curacy at Holy Trinity Church in Sunningdale.
I have seven nieces, one nephew and several godchildren all of whom are very precious to me and who I adore spending time with.
I am a keen cook and baker and I love to entertain and relax with a good glass of wine. Good hospitality is very important to me. My hobbies include photography, sewing and going to the gym. When time and finances permit travelling is a particular passion and I enjoy spending days off with family and friends. I am also learning to appreciate (if not love) gardening as there is always plenty to be done in the Vicarage garden.
I love to sit down, drink tea and meet people. So, if you are a member of the church or the local community please do get in touch and I would love to get together with you.
