Christian Aid Week May 12th-18th

Christian Aid is a charity dedicated to fight poverty, with projects in 37 countries. Every year we have the opportunity to knock on many of the doors in our parish and show our neighbours that All Saints cares. Our parish has 26 “allocation” rounds and we will need some new collectors this year to fulfil this task.

You will be provided with a strong Christian Aid collection bag containing enough envelopes for each house in your road/round,  some spares, and a short instruction card (with helpful hints and a breakdown of how Christian Aid money is spent). Anyone can post Christian Aid envelopes through doors, but you must be over 16 to collect them back and wear the authorised collector’s badge from the instruction card. It is fine to collect with children.

This year we also have a leaflet to hand out, advertising forthcoming church events, when collecting the envelopes back. Most people in the area are used to us collecting for Christian Aid, and very few are impolite.

Please put your name on the list at the back of the church, pick up a pack and show our neighbours that All Saints is a church that cares.
