Home Groups are a great way to meet other members of the church and
to find support with the realities and challenges of day to day Christian
living. They are a place to learn, to share and to journey together.
All the small groups would love to welcome new members. None will be offended if you try them and decide it is not the right group for you.
We currently have the following groups:
Monday Mornings 9:30 – 11:30am (Fortnightly)
Venue – Chesterfield Road (Usually)
Contact: Peter Turner, 020 8393 2723
After general conversation we light a candle and start with the Monday Home Group prayer for which we all have a prayer card and read aloud, followed by a reading from a book of prayer poems. We then read the Bible passage as outlined in the current study book we are using. We answer all the questions in the study which results in lively discussion with other appropriate matters which arise from members views. We have a time of prayer for those who have lost their loved ones and others who are not as well as they would wish to be and any other matters people want to raise. We end with a short reading then the Grace. This is all followed by tea, coffee, biscuits and cake if it is a special occasion.
Tuesday Evening 8-10pm (Fortnightly)
Venue – Fulford Road (Usually)

Our home group endeavours to create a safe space in an informal, mutually supportive atmosphere with tea and coffee as an essential aid. Every member of the group is valued and can contribute as much or as little as they are comfortable. Using a variety of small group bible study books and resources we spend time exploring and going deeper into the scriptures and its application to our own lives. Following the study we spend time in prayer for personal and wider needs – again with no pressure to participate.
Weekday Evening 8-10pm (Fortnightly)
Venue – Varies between members

We are a mixed-age group of women who meet regularly for Bible study, tea, and a discussion of challenges we're facing in everyday life. While we try to keep the discussion on topic, it will sometimes divert to other subjects that help on issues we're struggling with in daily life. We like to use a variety of mediums and resources to aid our meetings, including an on-line prayer course and DVD's. We have covered a range of subjects from women of the bible to revelations and currently we're studying the Bible Course on DVD.
